Singapore, SG

I hadn't really reseached or planned much into this place besides booking myself a hotel for the first night. I didn't know what to expect, but as I passed through immigration I found lightning fast internet (awesome) bought a 5.5 sgd sandwich and plopped down for a couple hours doing some one the fly. Turns out there's loads of things to do in this place; so as the rain droned on I planned out a rough itinerary for the next few days.  After changing onto a few different subways I was almost to the hostel when one of the last stops caught my attention. It was called little India. And it was.  Tons of shops, flowers, trinkets, jewelry, spiced foods, and brightly colored clothing.  I decided to get off here mainly because my stomach requires constant attention and had read that Singapore is well known for amazing food. Food from the food courts.  Basically there are nice open air markets in Singapore that have a general area where there are tons of small food places offering a variety of menus.  Funny enough I decided to eat chinese food in little india which was excellent after figuring out how to eat my noodle soup with dumplings with chop sticks.  haha.

Singapore is a unique place. It has a plethora of different people from all over the world. I wasn't ready for this and was pleasantly surprised. I saw people from india, china, middle eastern countries, japanese, southeast asians, and europeans all living together.  It reminded me a lot of the US.  Anyhow after eating I ran through the rain back to the subway and continued onto my hostel. It was a nice indian owned hostel where you had to take your shoes off inside. It was great, nice layout and lots of people from all over the world.  Went to sleep early since I hadn't caught much sleep the night before.

Over the next couple days I visited the Zoo.

The Gardens by the bay

Also Chinatown

ANNNND the beach. Where I found almendras. score.

Welp, time to leave this place and head to Bali to meet up with Shane for some good times.

One of the coolest hotels I've never stayed at. haha it's got a huge pool and palm trees on top of that platform. Pretty well known landmark of singapore.

Double Helix bridge. Quite the modern metropolis I'd say.
